RACE 1

SILENT BOSS (4) – Is capable of letting down with a strong finish when right. Finding Class 5 grade, and is capable of improving. Should be good value each-way.
SUCCESS COME TRUE (1) – Has the right recent form to win a race of this class.  Has a bit of weight but that is countered with the claim for Riduan Abu Bakar (4kg allowance). Hard to beat.
THOTH WARRIOR (5) – Better effort last time and should get a nice run again here from barrier 2. Honest Class 5 performer.
PAPERBACK TROOPER (6) – Has now gone 27 starts without winning but his past two Class 5 runs have been solid and he’s among the chances here.

RACE 2

SPLINTER (2) – Not seen for a while but has had a couple of trials for two seconds leading up to this reappearance, he has some very solid form in the book at a better level and even with 59kgs, he looks well suited here and should go very close.
SIAM SAPPHIRE (3) – A four-time course and distance winner and is now 11 points lower than his latest win last April off a mark of 75, and even on the back of a below par effort last time out, he looks set to go well here now back into class 4. Danger to all.
CLARTON TREASURE (6) – The drop back to 1200m will help this fellow and he is well drawn to try and lead. Should give a bold sight.
EXTRA WIN (12) – Would need to find further improvement on her Class 5 win last time, but she battled hard that day and only has a light weight for the returning Joseph See in the saddle, good to see him back.

RACE 3

CALIFORNIA (3) – Was very green on debut in a strong maiden and certainly didn’t disgrace himself in that affair behind Galvarino. Has won a trial since and should be in the finish here.
MR ALFONSO (7) – Is coming off a good second in a Restricted Maiden here on April 14. That was 1000m so needs to stretch out to the 1100m here but should be on the speed and is fit. Will give a sight.
UNSUNG HERO (8) – First starter for Donna Logan. Has had three trials here in Singapore. Only one this preparation though where he really looked impressive to the eye winning by 6.5 lengths. Has improved and is ready for the races.
BIG HEARTED (12) – Two-year-old taking on the three-year-olds here. Showed a bit of strength in his trial finding the line well and is definitely one to monitor the betting with.

RACE 4

FORESTO (3) – A much improved effort last time out when second behind the game Caribbean Lady. He is now two points higher but has a good apprentice jockey booked and the stable of Lee Freedman are in excellent form.
CARNELIAN (2) – A staying-on fourth last start over course and distance and did struggle for a clear run up the straight before hitting the line well enough. Conditions suit her, and she should run a nice race.
CASH IS KING (4) – Still relatively lightly-raced and was a creditable runner-up to the well-handicapped Reddot Rising just over a month ago. Expect a bold showing.
POETS RYKER (7) – Has been racing well off his current mark and can easily run well again here.

RACE 5

JK FLASH (3) – Is still a maiden but has only had five starts and is coming off his career-best performance. Barrier 1 didn’t really suit this horse last start, he is drawn better off the fence here and John Powell looks a positive booking. Good chance.
PARKER (11) – Will be well fancied here off his recent form in this grade. Has been around the mark and with a light weight he’s going to take beating.
AUSPICIOUS ACE (1) – Finds Simon Kok here to take off a three-kilo allowance bringing the mare in at a competitive weight. Worked home okay last start and should measure up well in a field of this nature.
LUCKY BOY (8) - Backmarker that can mix his form. Capable of letting down with a decent finish on his day. In this type of race he is worth including.

RACE 6

THE CAPITAL (9) – In what looks a competitive Class 4, The Capital ran a nice race for third last start and off a mark of 57, he would be very nicely-handicapped on the pick of his form.
MR HOOPER (2) – This 3yo has been in brilliant form of late and is now five points higher for victory over the course and distance last time out and should find himself in a good spot early from a good barrier.
POLE PARADISE (3) – Recently won a trial rather impressively and takes a step down in grade here, must be included for all the multiples.
DESPACITO (4) – Now a good bit lower than his last win in a Class 3 over Nowyousee. Will appreciate the ease in company.

RACE 7

LIM’S PRIDE (2) – Was safely held last start but the run was still full of merit. His sectionals were pleasing and that was a much stronger Class 4 than this. With only 53.5kgs on his back, this horse will be very hard to hold out. Will keep attacking the line.
GRATUS (5) – Fitter for his last-start fourth and with the in-form Benny Woodworth on from gate 2, he looks a danger.
RED RIDING WOOD (8) – Steps up in grade but is in career best form. Could go around over the odds here for a horse that has won his past two.
LIM’S RIPPLE (6) – Will be decent odds here but could surprise and sneak into the placings. Better suited up in distance and will keep working to the line.

RACE 8

SACRED REBEL (3) – Absolutely bolted up last time out over the 1100m off a seven-point lower mark, he once again has a wide gate but if he overcomes it here, he can prove tough to beat.
REVOLUTION (2) – Would have lost one or two admirers of late with a couple of slightly below-par performances, he can bounce back if recapturing his best form and that certainly isn’t impossible back in a Class 3.
JOMO (5) – Has the benefit of a recent trial to put him cherry-ripe for this and has a good gate for Michael Rodd in the plate.
TIME LORD (4) – Found to have issues (returned a roarer) last time out when disappointing. He has had a break and a trial to set him up for a good run here, although a little is taken on trust after such problems.

RACE 9

ABSOLVIDO (1) – Is back in distance from the 1600m to 1200m here. He’s a backmarker that can finish off powerfully. There looks a bit of speed in this race and that could bring him into it. Look for him to be charging home.
ELISE (6) – Should be very competitive here off a mark of 58. Don’t mind the wide barrier because he is a leader. On his best form, can win this race.
RAPID FIRE (11) – Has been working well since his last win and looks a horse on the improve. With any luck from the gate can run well.
SUPER TALENT (7) – Has been freshened up here. Recent trial was fine, was not out to do a huge amount of work. Drawn poorly but has the ability.
