JK FORMIDABLE (9) – Won a recent trial in good time, he is still lightly-raced and could prove the one to side with here in a weak race.
OCEAN MASTER (3) – Forget his run last time. Judged on his second to Star Knight two starts back, he is a player at this level.
HIGH STREET (2) – This six-year-old is back in grade to Class 5 and that’s a big plus. Should go close.
MAKE U FAMOUS (12) – Has changed stables and has trialed well prior.

VULCAN (2) – Comes into this off an impressive trial win. Didn’t wear blinkers in his first trial but once they went on, he appeared to improve sharply. Set for a bold showing here for the in-form Shane Baertschiger.
KUDA BAGUS (1) – Is drawn a bit awkwardly here and will need a bit of luck. Should be ready to peak now that is third-up.
GAMELY (4) – Very honest type. Struggling to win but must be included among the better chances again here. Will make his own luck and is very fit.
YULONG EXPRESS (3) – Drawn to get a perfect run, should have options. He was a bit one-paced last time at 1000m. Suspect the rise in trip here will be suitable.

RAHEEB (1) – Impressive when winning a novice last time out (Federation fourth) and has gone up seven points for that victory. The step-up in trip should suit him and would look to be an upwardly mobile four-year-old. One to follow.
WIND OF LIBERTY (2) – A sound run over course and distance off a two-point lower mark last time gives him every chance in this.
THE CAPITAL (8) – Form can be very hit-and-miss and has been more miss than hit of late but is racing off a rather nice handicap mark currently. If he runs to his better form, he can be very dangerous and the headgear off is a positive.
SUPER TYCOON (4) – A solid effort last time out and a repeat of that should see him play for minor money.

YULONG SHENGDAO (2) – An interesting runner based on his performance in February when third to Happy Saga in a Kranji Stakes D over 1600m. Could be the answer in a tricky race.
MONTRER (5) – Much better effort last time out and now has the bonus of Michael Rodd in the saddle.
SUN DRAGON (1) – It would come as no great surprise to see this five-year-old show up in this Class 5. He ran over 1600m on Lingfield’s Polytrack surface in the UK and the slip to a mark that makes him eligible for this grade is very interesting.
CLARTON STAR (7) – One to include now he is up in distance on the back of finishing strongly over 1400m.

AMAZING CHOICE (4) – The only newcomer in the race for Mark Walker. Has had two trials and has gone well in both of those. He is a half-brother to three winners including the multiple Group 3-placed Choose. Wouldn’t have to be a world beater to win this.
STRAP MARKS (6) – Has taken an age to get to the races and ran respectably on debut a couple of weeks ago when fourth over 1200m on the turf. The drop back in distance looks as if it will suit and he can improve on that first run.
GRAND CHOICE (2) – Has bolted up in two trials recently and has looked good. His form is of a good standard but has looked a bit of a short runner and might be vulnerable to a stronger finisher.
SHAMARMAN (9) – Is a leading player in the game of musical stables (fourth trainer) and has only had two career starts so far. Now with Tan Kah Soon, he has trialled much better when applied with blinkers, tongue tie and cross noseband and could be the value play in the race.

SKYWALK (4) – Now back to his last winning handicap mark when landing the KRA Trophy last July off a mark of 95, he has won a recent trial and the conditions are fine for him here. Leading player.
DISTINCTIVE DARCI (1) – Third in the Skywalk trial and finished off very well. He and Vlad Duric get on great and he is a class act on this surface and has the blinker-pacifiers back on (wore them when winning the Group 2 Merlion Trophy). The big weight is a negative but this isn’t the strongest Class 1 run at Kranji. He should be right in the thick of things.
WEBSTER (6) – A course and distance winner back in January when returning from a lay-off. He has a decent strike rate and this return to the Polytrack will suit nicely and a light weight make him interesting.
SPECIAL KING (9) – Runner-up in trial behind the smart Zac Kasa. He is a four-time course and distance scorer and should be able to use barrier 1 to good effect.

MIGHTY EMPEROR (1) – Bounced back to form last start going down in a thrilling finish. The step back in trip will be no issue and certainly commands respect with Michael Rodd taking the mount. Expect bold showing.
IMPLEMENT (9) – Ran well last start in Novice grade over a shorter journey. Can improve sharply stepping up in trip from a good draw. Capable of surprising at odds.
SUPERNOVA (2) – Experienced campaigner who is well credentialled for this affair. Finds conditions to suit from a good draw and is worth thought on best efforts. Don’t ignore.
CROUCHING SUN (7) – Found a winning formula last start stepping up in trip. Remains over the same track/distance and gets in relatively well at the weights with Iskandar Rosman claiming four kilos.

TRAPIO (3) – In good form and is well suited to these conditions. He will appreciate going back up in trip and looks a strong chance here.
GOLD STRIKE (2) – Has trialed well (second) prior to this run and the Cliff Brown stable are in very good form currently. A strong chance here on the pick of his form. Big player.
CARIBBEAN LADY (8) – Good winner on the Polytrack last time out and still looks feasibly handicapped on that performance.
SILENT PARTNER (5) – Can leave that last start behind him now that he is back on turf.
