Updates on Stewards' follow-ups to Friday and Sunday meetings

SINGAPORE JULY MEETING 2019 - FRIDAY, 19 JULY 2019:

RACE 6 [TF0889]

A veterinary examination on Saturday, 20 July 2019 revealed that BEJEWELLED (R Woodworth) had returned lame off (right) fore. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

RACE 7 [TF0890]

On Monday, 22 July 2019, Trainer S Baertschiger advised that WASSERGEIST (J Powell) had pulled up well, and agreed with the rider's comments that the gelding would be better suited on the turf surface.

RACE 8 [TF0891]

On Monday, 22 July 2019, Trainer M Walker advised that SACRED DON (MM Firdaus) had pulled up well, but may have come to the end of its preparation. He will give the gelding a freshen-up prior to racing again.

SINGAPORE JULY MEETING 2019 - SUNDAY, 21 JULY 2019:

RACE 1 [TF0908]

On Monday, 22 July 2019, Trainer D Kok advised that YULONG FIRE (M Rodd) had pulled up well and concurred with the rider's comments that the gelding would be better suited over further ground. He will continue with its current preparation.

RACE 2 [TF0909] 

On Monday, 22 July 2019, D Beasley, Stable Representative for Trainer D Meagher advised that LIM'S HONOUR (R Woodworth) had pulled up well, and believed that the gelding may be better suited for Open Maiden or Class 5 race. The stable will continue with its current preparation.

RACE 3 [TF0910] 

On Monday, 22 July 2019, Trainer J Peters advised that OVERCOMING (T Berry) had pulled up well, attributed the performance to the gelding racing keenly with winkers first time. He further added that he may step the gelding down in distance and remove the winkers at its next start.

RACE 5 [TF0912]

A veterinary examination on Monday, 22 July 2019 revealed that GINGERMAN (B Pinheiro) had returned lame near (left) hind. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

RACE 6 [TF0913] 

On Monday, 22 July 2019, Trainer C Brown advised that THREEANDFOURPENCE (M Rodd) had pulled up well, and agreed with Jockey M Rodd's assessment, in that the gelding may not have handled the track conditions.

On Monday, 22 July 2019, Trainer S Baertschiger advised that CHOCOLATS (V Duric) had pulled up well, attributed the performance to the gelding overracing and not having handled the track conditions.

RACE 8 [TF0915] 

On Monday, 22 July 2019, Ms C Iizuka, Stable Representative for Trainer DL Freedman advised that CURVATURE (T Berry) had pulled up well, and agreed with Jockey T Berry's assessment, in that the gelding may not have handled the track conditions. The stable will continue with its current preparation.

A veterinary examination on Monday, 22 July 2019 revealed that QUARTER BACK (V Duric) had returned lame off (right) hind. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

RACE 10 [TF0917] 

On Monday, 22 July 2019, SH Lee, Stable Representative for Trainer D Koh advised that OXBOW SUN (CC Wong) had pulled up well, and will continue with its preparation. However, the gelding refused to do the preliminary to the start, which delayed the start. As a result, the Stewards adjourned this matter for consideration on Tuesday, 23 July 2019.
