RACE 1

HERO STAR (5) - Went too fast in front last start and did a great job to hang on and finish fourth beaten 2 ½ lengths. With a more economical run here he looks the horse to beat.
SUPER EMPEROR (2) - Resumes from a spell here. Has trialled up nicely and expect a bold showing.
PAPERBACK TROOPER (7) - Has not won for 25 starts but is racing well and should be included again here.
PEGASUS JUNIOR (8) - Has been a frustrating horse to follow in recent times but on his best form he is certainly capable of winning this. Take on trust.

RACE 2

UNIVERSAL EMPIRE (10) - Looks a nice value play here. Drawn a little awkward but comes back from an unlucky run over 1200m last time where he was tightened up on the home turn and should have at least placed. With luck, can run a big race.
BEER GARDEN (2) - Is in a new stable here following his creditable sixth in the Golden Horseshoe. Has the speed to come across and lead. Will be very hard to beat, likely to run a short-priced favourite.
QIJI DIAMOND (7) - Was a bit green and new at his first start. Will have taken improvement out of that race and from barrier No 1, can race well.
FAST AND FEARLESS (4) - Draws nicely here and should sit on the speed. Consider.

RACE 3

ARARAT LADY (1) - Is the class runner and should take care of this field. She does have a tendency to race a little bit keen but if Michael Rodd can get her to relax, she should prove too good.
TRAPIO (2) - Didn't seem to handle the wet track last time, forgive. Form prior was solid and he can be finishing off well here if ridden quieter.
SALAMENCE (5) - Has been up for a while but is still racing well. Back onto the 1200m turf here, the scene of his victory three starts back.
STRAP MARKS (4) - Is going well and looks to get a lovely run up on the speed again here from barrier No 3. Include.

RACE 4

MR ALFONSO (3) – Forgive last start. Has since been back to the trials off the back of a freshen-up and finds conditions to suit. Commands respect.
LINCOLN MOONLIGHT (1) – Ready to peak third-up. Will appreciate the four-kilo claim from Mohammad Nizar and has the ability to contest the business end. Major player.
LORD OF LIGHT (2) – Gallant in defeat last start. Will be on pace in this affair and is capable of giving a sight. Worth thought.
THE ICEMAN (4) – Hasn't been far from the mark in four career outings. Isn't ideally suited but is worth including in the mix with even luck.

RACE 5

LIM'S CRAFT (2) – Impressive type who won in stylish fashion last start. Finds conditions to suit yet again and will take beating with a repeat dose.
WINNING HOBBY (9) – Was turned over as favourite last start but is capable of bouncing back in this affair on the turf surface. Will give a sight on speed.
SILENT FORCE (3) – Hard to catch as he is not the finished article yet but is racing well. Well drawn to perform, so don't dismiss.
CAORUNN (1) – Has been tending to mix form but will appreciate the drop in grade. Capable of figuring on best efforts.

RACE 6

PAKATAN WARRIOR (11) – Has been racing well without winning. Stepping back in journey and onto the Polytrack surface appears no issue. Commands respect.
STORM RYKER (1) – Has been struggling to win but is capable of making amends with the drop back in grade. Well drawn to get the right run, so expect bold showing.
HEPHAESTUS (8) – Hard to knock on recent efforts. Clearly in career best form and must be respected with a repeat dose. Major player.
ZMAN (5) – Hard to have on recent outings but is drawn to get the right run and has been trending in the right direction with regards to rating. Don't ignore.

RACE 7

NOVA VOCAL (4) – Has been struggling to win but brings a bit of class to this affair. Drawn to get a perfect run and is capable of bouncing back into winning form.
EXCELLING (6) – Won impressively on debut when having conditions to suit. Isn't ideally drawn, so will need even luck but is capable of fighting out the finish.
FLAK JACKET (3) – Has been struggling to produce best but career credentials command respect. Capable of contending the business end in a suitable affair.
SUPER SIX (9) – Has been in a rich vein of form. Drawn to get the right run and is worth including in the mix with the race run to suit.

RACE 8

LOYALTY MAN (6) - Has been coming along nicely since arriving in Singapore. Game effort last start behind Makanani in a Class 2 and is set to peak here third-up. Can control this race from the front and be very hard to beat.
MAKANANI (4) - Back in winning form last time and is a mare that has always had Group class ability. Should roll forward and make her own luck. Respect.
STAR EMPEROR (9) - Can't be ignored after producing a booming finish to win the Jumbo Jet Trophy. Raw talent, can do it again.
KING LOUIS (7) - Was a big run in the Singapore Derby to finish third. He did get a wet track there but on a repeat effort he's in the mix.

RACE 9

MAGNIFICENT GOLD (2) - Was good last time carrying the big weight in a Class 4 1600m won by Alamak. Wasn't suited by the slow tempo of that race but still ran very well. Top pick.
YAYA PAPAYA (4) - Is out of the same race as Magnificent Gold. His sectionals were fantastic in that race and had he drawn a barrier would be on top. Needs luck from 15.
ST ALWYN (12) - Still a maiden but gets a light weight here for Alysha Collett. With 52kgs on his back he can roll forward and give a big sight from upfront.
BRACED (8) - Got too far back last time, fitter now. Can measure up in this race and switching back onto the turf looks a positive.
