Polytrack mile record holder Tiger Force kept trainer Donna Logan on a roll after he gave the Kiwi trainer an eighth win this season.

Logan has been among one of the most prolific trainers at Kranji in the first two months, having now leapt to fourth place on the Singapore trainer's premiership following that strong win from Tiger Force  in the $50,000 Class 4 race over the Polytrack mile.

Handled by Ruan Maia, a jockey the Kiwi trainer is combining more and more these days, the US-bred five-year-old by Kitten's Joy came from last to post a half-length win from Bebop (Mohd Zaki) with Dazzle Gold (Simon Kok Wei Hoong) third another length away.

The winning time was 1min 39.06secs for the Polytrack mile, 1.42 seconds outside his record-breaking feat on September 20, 2019.

That fourth victory from 23 starts from Tiger Force might not have been as impressive, but Logan still saw plenty of merit in the way the chestnut fought boldly to the line.

"Things need to go his way. You cannot bustle him up early," said Logan.

"He's a very genuine horse and always tries his best. I was worried Ruan would push the button too early, but he was very patient and got the job done.

"Ruan is doing a very good job for us and it's great he rode another winner for us."

At his first full season at Kranji, the former two-time Macau champion jockey has certainly not taken long to establish himself among one of the leading jockeys at his new base.

"I knew this horse was back to Polytrack tonight and I know it's better for him," said the Brazilian rider.

"I rode him the same way as his previous runs. I waited until the last 400m to start pushing and he finished very well.

"Donna is doing a nice job at the stable and it's great that she gives me good support."

With that latest success, Tiger Force has seen his stakes earnings bulge just past the $85,000 mark for the Thai-owned Falcon Racing No 7 Stable.
