The Singapore Turf Club will be rescheduling the Group 1 Singapore Derby, which was to be held on 18 April 2020 at the Singapore Racecourse, to a future date to be determined later.
The Club will also be cancelling the Group 3 Saas Fee Stakes race which was also scheduled on 18 April 2020.
The Club will only be holding one local race meeting per week in April, on Fridays - 3 April 2020, 10 April 2020, 17 April 2020 and 24 April 2020. Members of public will not be admitted into the Singapore Racecourse and there will not be any screening of overseas simulcast races at the Singapore Racecourse.
The above measures are expected to be in place until 30 April 2020, in line with the Ministry of Health's (MOH) advisory on "Tighter Measures to Minimise Further Spread of COVID-19", dated 24 March 2020.
The safety and well-being of visitors to the Singapore Racecourse remains the Club's top priority and we are committed to continuing to operate our business in a safe and responsible manner.
