RACE 1

1st Pick: FROM THE NAVY (6) From an in-form stable at the present time and the recent run and trackwork are both plus points to his chances here.
2nd Pick: STARDICE (3) A horse racing well and there isn't a great deal between this guy and the selection. Leading player.
3rd Pick: CHAMPAGNE FINALE (1) Down in grade here and most be included in the numbers.
4th Pick: BOOM SHAKALAKA (5) Handy on his day and could offer up some value in the opener.

RACE 2

1st Pick: THE MAREEBA MANGO (1) A very pleasing run on debut from this well bred sort (half-brother to a Group 1 winner) and can build on that here. Leading hope.
2nd Pick: ENTERTAINER (3) Another to run a very nice race on Kranji debut and can continue to improve once again. A must for the numbers here.
3rd Pick: LATENT POWER (10) Run out of it late by a useful one back in March and has trialled very well since and the barn of Michael Clements are in very good form with their youngsters.
4th Pick: BLUE BLOOD (6) Best of the newcomers in this and the trial win looked smart for a stable having a nice run at the moment. The wide barrier is the drawback, though.

RACE 3

1st Pick: IMPERIUM (7) Needed the run first-up. Flew home late beaten less than two lengths off the winner Thomas De Lago. Will strip fitter for this.
2nd Pick: STREET PARTY (10) Always seems to lack that extra to finish off his races. Expect to see him making his bid in the concluding stages.
3rd Pick: MOON FACE (4) Argentinian newcomer who seems to have acclimatised quite well into local conditions. Won his last trial quite easily. Won't surprise if he shows up on debut.
4th Pick: CROWN GIFT (3) Thereabouts at recent runs. Doesn't jump out of the page but is not without a say for a place.

RACE 4

1st Pick: COMMODORE (7) Looked an exciting prospect before his debut and ran a big race in defeat. The improvement should be there for all to see and can prove tough to beat here.
2nd Pick: PATTAYA (3) Has some good place form in the book and if the newcomers aren't up to the mark here, he can make most of this opportunity.
3rd Pick: MR SHOWMAN (2) Has bolted up in two trials and looks very well prepared for this debut. Comes from a very good stable and should be kept on side here.
4th Pick: TOP OF THE LINE (4) Up three points for a course and distance second to Lim's Spin back in March. Should make an impact in this affair.

RACE 5

1st Pick: FIREWORKS (9) Looks the safest of bets in a very poor race. Could be a good time to make a cup of tea and wait for Race 6.
2nd Pick: MINGS MAN (7) More reliable than most of these and he is bidding for his 10th victory here, and very best of luck to him as well.
3rd Pick: HIDDEN PROMISE (11) Has a visor going on here for this start and a good apprentice is on.
4th Pick: DAVID'S STAR (10) Keen-going sort who will be in the front rank throughout. Place hope if able to hold on.

RACE 6

1st Pick: ST ALWYN (4) Has the form to win a little race like this and has the assistance of the champion jockey, which is a plus. The one to beat in a weak race.
2nd Pick: SHOWCASE THE GOLD (1) Put in some good late work on local debut and wouldn't be a surprise to see him improve on that effort in this affair.
3rd Pick: SHOWBOUND (2) Has bits and pieces of form and is one to include for the multiples in this for a stable going well.
4th Pick: CRU BOURGEOIS (3) Has been off a good while but if he finds his early form, he is not without some sort of chance here. Interesting.

RACE 7

1st Pick: MASTER RYKER (1) Group 3 winner at only his second Australian start two years ago when he took out the Up and Coming Stakes at Randwick as Master Ash for trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott. Showed good barrier trial form here and may well score first-up.
2nd Pick: CHOCANTE (11) Caught the eye at his comeback race to run third to Churchill. On that form, he should be right in the mix in this.
3rd Pick: KISS YOUR SONG (3) Bounced back to form at his last start. Has trained on. From his good draw, he should be able to race prominently. This looks slightly tougher, but a place is still within his reach.
4th Pick: BLITZING (7) Didn't do too badly on debut. Expected to make further headway second-up. Held a decent form in Hong Kong, and should be able to measure up to this lot.

RACE 8

1st Pick: SAYONARA (9) A good recent run gives Sayonara every chance in a race like this for top connections. Will take the world of beating here, and should be saying "bye bye" to his rivals.
2nd Pick: CIZEN BOSS (2) Capable in this grade and looks set to run well for a yard who do well in these events.
3rd Pick: HIGH STREET (4) Any market support would be interesting and can run well.
4th Pick: NEWTON (1) Interesting runner at this lowly level down in grade. Each-way claims.

RACE 9

1st Pick: MAGNIFICENT GOLD (3) Stormed home from the ruck first-up from long break. Will relish the extra 200m. Big run in store.
2nd Pick: SHEPHERD'S HYMN (4) Jumped a shadow at the 800m mark at last start. Has potential and is not without a chance in this.
3rd Pick: MERYL (6) Put in a good run on August 2. Will appreciate the mile even better. She could be the knockout chance here.
4th Pick: SUN SPEAR (9) Rising in class after posting an impressive win in Class 5 company in a 1200m race. The mile is more up his alley. Has now weight on his back. Faces stiffer task but won't be out of his depth.

RACE 10

1st Pick: ARARAT LADY (7) Bonny mare who is overdue for a win. One win and four seconds at last six starts. Should be able to enjoy a cosy run from her handy draw.
2nd Pick: SACRED GIFT (2) Resuming. Showed plenty of promise at first prep, landing three wins and one third from five starts. In-form yard and owner can continue their rich vein of form with him.
3rd Pick: LEGEND OF THE SUN (6) Showed plenty of toe at last start, and nearly made all if not for the ultra-smart Inferno. Unfortunately, he has drawn wide again. If he doesn't work too hard to cut across, he should play a big part again.
4th Pick: HUGO (1) Had every chance last time out, but faded in the home straight. Will benefit from that first-up run under the belt. Can fight out the finish if things go his way.

RACE 11

1st Pick: QUADCOPTER (1) Not quite 100% at his first-up run but still let down nicely inside last 200m to run third to Sacred Don. Will lap up extra 200m. Go close.
2nd Pick: LUCKY IMPERATOR (8) Debut winner who should be a factor if he brings the same form here. Step-up from 1200m to 1400m shouldn't pose a big problem.
3rd Pick: QIJI ACHEEVA (6) Gave his best at his last outing, but had to settle for third place. Barrier No 1 is a big help.
4th Pick: SUPER POWER (7) Made late ground at his last run. This is his third start this prep. Blinkers off again. Reverting to the trip he boasts two wins over. Keep safe.

RACE 12

1st Pick: BOLD THRUSTER (1) Smart sprinter-miler who looks a cut above this lot. Wide draw is not an issue in this small field. He can either lead or take a sit. In rattling form on the training tracks and it looks like a one-way street here.
2nd Pick: SURPASS NATURAL (4) Tough run out wide but still put in the big bounds where it mattered to score an easy win first-up. May find it tougher at level weights conditions, but he is a trier, and a place is well on the cards.
3rd Pick: EXCELLING (6) Could not quicken when asked upon in the home straight. Will derive plenty of benefit from that first-up run. Has drawn an alley and should be in the firing line for a long way.
4th Pick: RIVER RADIANCE (8) Loomed as a major threat at his last start, but peaked on his run inside last furlong. The longer the better. Improved effort expected.

RACE 13

1st Pick: STAR OF JUPITER (4) Was the one who came challenging Countofmontecristo at his last start. Never disgraced in better company. This is a touch easier. May well emulate stablemate Aramaayo in the Kranji Mile on Sunday.
2nd Pick: MURAAHIB (10) Every chance at his last start, but was denied by a reinvigorated Sacred Rebel. Honest sort in this class and should again have plenty to say in the home straight.
3rd Pick: ELITE POWER (2) Showed a return to form at his last start. If he keeps up the same trend, this should be his for the taking.
4th Pick: PENNYWISE (3) Never a factor at his last race, even if he still pulled some ground off the winner Sacred Rebel. Don't underestimate him.

RACE 14

1st Pick: MADE IN RUSSIA (1) An interesting runner with a gear change and back to this trip. From a leading stable and should be respected.
2nd Pick: CHALAZA (2) Has the ability to win this easily if in the right frame of mind and everything falls right for him.
3rd Pick: GOLD PRIZE (10) A last-start winner and is still lightly-raced and could be open to further improvement.
4th Pick: GAMELY (7) Back on the Polytrack is a plus and can run a solid race in this trappy heat to finish.
