RACE 1

1st Pick: SUN ACE (2) - Has been knocking on the door with three seconds at his last three starts. Blinkers have improved him out of sight. Fared well on Polytrack before. Could be showing a winning hand this time.
2nd Pick: GOLD FAITH (1) - Showed some improvement when eased down in class last time. Won once over course and distance. Should appreciate leap from 1200m to 1600m.
3rd Pick: CARNELIAN (6) - Not a model of consistency, pops up now and again. Last win was recorded over the same course and distance. Reverts to Polytrack and may find a few lengths. Longshot.
4th Pick: MASTER SOMMELIER (12) - Did not finish that far off at his last start even if he finished out of the placings. Yet to score in nine starts, but he may sneak into the minors in this moderate affair.

RACE 2

1st Pick: SPEEDY MISSILE (1) - On paper he looks too good for this following his two seconds from as many starts. Will relish the extra 200m. Hard to beat.
2nd Pick: KINABALU WARRIOR (5) - Improving with every run. Let down strongly for a close third to Hard Too Think at his last start. Nice low draw. Go close.
3rd Pick: ALFARES (10) - Another one who had showed potential at his first couple of starts. Drawn wide. Louis-Philippe Beuzelin will be seen pumping away in his vigorous style on him inside the last 200m.
4th Pick: SHOWBOUND (2) - On the way up, especially after the addition of shades. Wide barrier is a query as well as the big jump in distance, but he can still give a good account of himself.

RACE 3

1st Pick: HEARTENING FLYER (4) - Finished sixth in the Group 2 Singapore Classic when still looking in need of the experience. He is a smart horse and many may have expected to see him line up in the Singapore Guineas, but connections have decided to run in this race instead and he is the one to beat in this.
2nd Pick: MANDRAKE (7) - Caught the eye of many when running home strongly last time out and can surprise here with a bold show. Don't underestimate.
3rd Pick: CHICAGO STAR (1) - Good solid win last time out when making all the running, he finds a tougher race but can run well again.
4th Pick: SACRED JUDGEMENT (5) - A runner in good form and should give his running here. From a powerful stable and can certainly be involved in the business end of the race.

RACE 4

1st Pick: ANGEL HALO (2) - Looks to be the best horse in the field. Ran on too late at his last outing. Freshened up since and wears blinkers back. Top chance.
2nd Pick: JOYFUL ASPIRATION (5) - Coming to hand. Attacked the line late in the piece at his last run. Has the man of the moment Ruan Maia in the saddle. Commands respect.
3rd Pick: SILVER SWORD (4) - Turned in a decent performance last time over 1100m. Big step-up to the mile, which is not ideal, but he has been well prepared by Jerome Tan, and a forward showing is on the cards.
4th Pick: HOOGA NET (8) - Unplaced twice since his last win on New Year's Day. Didn't put up a good show first-up but seems to have derived some benefit from that run. Place claims.

RACE 5

1st Pick: CRU BOURGEOIS (5) - Flew home for third at his last run. From the awkward alley, he will probably drop back again. Bears watching.
2nd Pick: SUPER PINS (1) - Has good early speed and will be dangerous if he can get away with cheap sectionals. Include in calculations.
3rd Pick: SUPERIOR COAT (8) - Making slow headway. Tends to stay too far back, but does make some ground late. Needs more ground but if they roll along, he might sneak in for the minors.
4th Pick: FAST AND FEARLESS (12) - Finished less than two lengths of the winner Victory Joy at his last start. Shorter trip doesn't help, but a placing is still achievable.

RACE 6

1st Pick: MACEO (7) - Proving costly to punters. Always well backed but yet to salute. Blinkers go on just to give him that sharper edge. Marble one. Stick to him.
2nd Pick: JUST STARS (6) - Slowly coming into his own. Booking of Vlad Duric is a handy pointer to his chances.
3rd Pick: GOOD LUCK CHARM (3) - Holding form going with his last two second placings. Wide barrier is a query, though. If he can tuck in with cover, he will be in the thick of the action.
4th Pick: TRY MAK MAK (8) - Ran on well for second place last time. Always competitive in this grade and such races. Will be in this for a long way.

RACE 7

1st Pick: SIAM VIPASIRI (12) - A very decent mare on her day and has returned in good form with a couple of really good runs in defeat of late. She is receiving weight from the boys here and conditions suit her nicely. Leading contender.
2nd Pick: IRONSIDE (7) - The conditions are right up his street here and any rain may well be a plus too. In good form and should give a bold sight in this contest.
3rd Pick: CHURCHILL (2) - Has plenty of talent and is down in grade here. This contest looks like one he can get very competitive in for sure. Each-way value.
4th Pick: GOLD STAR (1) - A last-start winner and never really knows how to run a bad race. The same can happen here under top weight. Big show on the cards once again.

RACE 8

1st Pick: TOBRUK (1) - Vastly-improved sort who has been hitting around the mark of late. Just needs a bit of luck to find the line. Cherry-ripe for maiden win.
2nd Pick: BIG REGARDS (4) - Worked home quite well at his last start when blinkers were dropped. Wears blinker-pacifiers this time. The mile is right up his alley. Warrants consideration.
3rd Pick: MINGS MAN (3) - Old stager who can still pack a punch on a good day. The mile is not his strongest suit, though. Barrier one will help with an economical run. Can finish in the money with even luck.
4th Pick: WHERE SHE'S HAPPY (2) - Disappointing at her last start. Ran creditably two starts back with Vlad Duric on board. The champion is on her back again, and she could find a length or two. Nice gate.

RACE 9

1st Pick: THREEANDFOURPENCE (11) - Was more than a touch unlucky last time out and ran home nicely in the end after not having the clearest of passages through the race. This is a strong race but a chance can be taken with this well-named galloper.
2nd Pick: MINISTER (5) - The Singapore Derby third and continues to hold his form with a recent trial. He is drawn wide but if he can overcome that issue, he is a rock-solid chance in this affair.
3rd Pick: YULONG EDITION (2) - Has 11kgs more to carry here compared to his latest run, which was very good in defeat. Champion jockey Vlad Duric goes on and he has won on him previously. A must for the multiples.
4th Pick: KING LOUIS (4) - Has a new rider in the shape of the excellent Louis-Philippe Beuzelin and on the pick of his form, he is a good bit of place value in this event.

RACE 10

1st Pick: DECRETO (4) - Scored a deserved win at his last start. Faces similar cattle. Well drawn and should make presence felt again.
2nd Pick: SMILING PROUD (1) - Just changed stables. Drops back in distance from 1600m to 1100m. A fast pace will suit him down to the ground. Blinkers replaced by winkers and tongue-tie off. Worth plenty of thought.
3rd Pick: DAVID'S STAR (6) - From barrier No 1, he gets a good chance to dictate. Blinker-pacifiers on. If he is rated well, he can show some cheek.
4th Pick: BRING ME JOY (9) - Not the sort to give you plenty of confidence, but he's not the worst either. Each-way claims.

RACE 11

1st Pick: GRAND KOONTA (6) - This talented grey is resuming after 244 days off the track through no real fault of his own (lack of races). He goes extremely well fresh and the conditions suit and a recent trial was very good under minimal pressure. Only just touched off in the EW Barker Trophy last year, he can go very close here.
2nd Pick: ALTAIR (9) - A good win last time and is now up six points on that victory. This is tougher, but he can measure up and should give a very good account of himself in this Class 1.
3rd Pick: FAME STAR (2) - Classy horse and winner of last year's EW Barker Trophy over the 1400m. He is a much better horse on the turf and has trialled very nicely in preparation for this task. Can get back on track here, forget last time.
4th Pick: ZAC KASA (7) - Smart if not hard to predict at times, and judged on his best form, he can provide the each-way value in a race like this.

RACE 12

1st Pick: INFERNO (1) - Winner of the Group 2 Singapore Classic last time with a number of rivals behind him that day. His main challenger Mr Malek is not running here and this beast-like four-year-old for the Barree Stable should prove very hard to beat in this and he could easily be one of the best horses to grace the track in Singapore in the last few years. One to beat.
2nd Pick: STRONG N POWERFUL (3) - A good runner-up in the Singapore Classic and there isn't much to say he will turn that form around here. He has plenty of ability and stays well. Can play the leading supporting role to Inferno once again.
3rd Pick: BIG HEARTED (5) - Ran home well for fourth in the Singapore Classic and that was a nice trial for this Group 1. Second to Inferno in the Saas Fee last back end and should be included in the number here.
4th Pick: KING'S COMMAND (7) - Has plenty to find on the leading lights here but is very progressive and it wouldn't shock to see a good run in defeat.

RACE 13

1st Pick: MUSTENGO (10) - Two good efforts in defeat recently and the booking of Benny Woodworth and the step-up in trip are both positives. Big show.
2nd Pick: GOVERNOR OF PUNJAB (3) - Came from a long way back last time and that run suggested that the step-up to the mile will suit nicely.
3rd Pick: BUDDY BUDDY (1) - A last runner as a trainer for Saimee Jumaat, and is a horse not without a chance of providing the fairytale ending to his training career.
4th Pick: MO ALMIGHTY (2) - This Jerome Tan-trained galloper didn't run at all badly in the Singapore Derby and is now back in calmer waters back in distance. Can run very well here.

RACE 14

1st Pick: IN ALL HIS GLORY (8) - Absolutely bolted up at his first go over this distance last time out. This will be a debut in handicap company but can measure up just fine and has a lot going for him.
2nd Pick: STREET PARTY (13) - Continues to run good races without winning and once again, off this mark, he can run well.
3rd Pick: IRONCLAD (3) - These conditions are perfect for this five-year-old and the booking of Benny Woodworth is an eye-catching one. A must for the exotics.
4th Pick: HARBOUR APPROACH (1) - Down in grade and would be no shock to see him figure here. Interesting runner.
