RACE 1

1st Pick: SABAH STAR (4) A last-start course and distance winner now up five points for that win and looks capable of another bold show.
2nd Pick: CLARTON TREASURE (1) Racing in this grade for the first time, should be dangerous and worth including.
3rd Pick: PERFECT (8) Good run two back under similar conditions and can make his presence felt here with Tengku Rehaizat back on board.
4th Pick: RUNMINDERBINDERRUN (10) One to include in the multiples here for top connections.

RACE 2

1st Pick: MASKED MAGNATE (9) In a race full of unknowns, it might pay to side with this Michael Clements runner on debut. The stable have a good record with first time out winners and this son of Written Tycoon has trialled well for this first career start. Interesting runner.
2nd Pick: BRUCE ALNAUGHTY (2) The Jason Ong stable are flying at the moment and Bruce Alnaughty is the form horse in this (one of only three to have raced so far) and although drawn wide, he should improve plenty off his debut for this.
3rd Pick: GOLDEN WAY (6) An expensive purchase who has trialled well. From a stable who can ready a newcomer from time to time and the eye-catching trial is enough to think a bold show is expected.
4th Pick: ROCKET RYANE (10) From a stable who have their horses nice and forward. He has trialled well with champion jockey Vlad Duric booked for the ride. Cost A$165K and looks one of the better leading chances here.

RACE 3

1st Pick: MY BIG BOSS (1) Drops back in class. Not disgraced at higher grade. Should prove too good for this lot.
2nd Pick: FAST AND FEARLESS (8) Found life tougher in Class 4 but was far from outclassed. Big say if he can keep up a little closer with the early speed.
3rd Pick: EFFORTLESS (2) Coming to hand again. More competitive in Class 4. Didn't finish far off the winner Super Invincible last time out. Include in calculations.
4th Pick: GAMELY (5) Will enjoy a cosy rails-hugging run from barrier one. Both wins have been recorded over course and distance. Will be thereabouts when whips are cracking. Can finish in the money with some luck.

RACE 4

1st Pick: SPECIAL OPS (2) Looks the standout horse in this and should prove very hard to beat.
2nd Pick: MR SHOWMAN (1) Has shown a solid level of form thus far and can prove best of the rest behind the favourite.
3rd Pick: JOON HO (8) Should improve off only start to date and has trialled well. Interesting runner and one to watch.
4th Pick: LIM'S BESTBREAKER (4) Ran home powerfully last time over 1000m and this extra furlong should help here. Each-way player.

RACE 5

1st Pick: MIDDLE KINGDOM (5) A very hard horse to get right, but the trackwork has been good and is now at a mark where he can win one. Tentative selection in wide open race.
2nd Pick: MR ROCKWELL (9) Suited by this course and distance and should give his running here.
3rd Pick: FIREWORKS (7) Has bits and pieces of form good enough to go very close in a race of this nature.
4th Pick: JUPITER DRAGON (4) Not one to rule out, given he can finish with a strong turn of foot. A must for the exotics.

RACE 6

1st Pick: GOLD KINGDOM (4) Hard to get past him in this category and over that journey. Will be steaming home late. Go close.
2nd Pick: SUN CONQUEROR (2) Last-start winner over course and distance. Shoulders more weight but can still contend for top honours at business end.
3rd Pick: BEBOP (1) In his element. Can certainly snag this race if he gets the right runs.
4th Pick: LION SPIRIT (6) Suddenly showed potential at his last start. If he proves it wasn't a fluke, it won't be long before he gets on the board.

RACE 7

1st Pick: GOLD CITY (8) Ignore last run when checked in home straight. Wouldn't have won but might have finished closer. In fine fettle on the training tracks. Won over course and distance two runs back. Watch market for stable confidence.
2nd Pick: SUPER DYNASTY (1) Posted narrow but hard-fought win last time, but on turf. Handles both surfaces. Looks to have trained on. No reason why he can't put up a bold show again.
3rd Pick: SENOR DON (4) Ran a cheeky race in the Singapore Guineas. This is easier. Might sneak into the minors.
4th Pick: ABSOLVIDO (7) Not sighted last start. Not really proven over the trip but cannot be ruled out on best form. Outside chance.

RACE 8

1st Pick: ZAHAU (9) This US-bred son of Fed Biz has found a very suitable race to make his debut. He has trialled well and looks to be forward enough to start from a powerful barn. Starting off over 1400m isn't the easiest task but he looks smart and is the one to be with here.
2nd Pick: EUNOS AVE THREE (1) Has been very consistent in eight starts to-date and has form good enough to win this and has the added bonus of Ruan Maia back on board.
3rd Pick: SUN HOLIDAY (6) Back in trip to 1400m which should suit and is in good form. A must include for multiples.
4th Pick: MONDAY (12) A nicely bred newcomer from the leading stable and is starting off at a realistic level on debut.

RACE 9

1st Pick: RESOLUTION (2) Had the race in his keeping until Good Luck Charm came along. Marble one and the services of champion jockey Vlad Duric will set him up nicely for this.
2nd Pick: NORTHERN SUN (9) Lost no marks at his test in higher grade. Stable is in solid form. Can challenge for the win.
3rd Pick: HEALTHY STAR (4) Ran below expectations at his last outing. Worth better than that. Crossover noseband and blinkers off. Can atone.
4th Pick: DIAMOND RUSH (7) Showed good improvement at his last start when he ran a decent fourth to Sun Step. Barrier not the best, but if he can overcome it and stay out of trouble, he is not without place claims.

RACE 10

1st Pick: GRAND KOONTA (3) Ran creditably in the Lion City Cup. Seems to need more ground these days and the 1400m will suit to a tee. Deserves a first feature win.
2nd Pick: MURAAHIB (4) Progressive sort who has been targeted for this race. Lee Freedman knows how to get his horses ready for such occasions. Top three chance.
3rd Pick: ROCKET STAR (10) Takes a big leap in class but he has the qualities to measure up, especially with no weight on his back. Don't ignore him.
4th Pick: GOLD STAR (13) Has a smashing turn of foot. Top lightweight chance if he gets the right breaks.

RACE 11

1st Pick: IMPERIUM (4) Bounced back to form last start. Can keep up momentum even with rise in weight. Worth backing again.
2nd Pick: BLUE BLOOD (11) Held his own well with second place at second start in Class 4 company. Switches to turf and rises in trip to 1400m. Bold run in store.
3rd Pick: TAKHI (14) Came from last to run fourth to Imperium last time out. Blinkers off. If he reproduces that run, he can make presence felt.
4th Pick: BORN TO WIN (3) Caught wide at his last outing. Has drawn off the track again. Small chance if he can tuck in with cover and be saved for a late run.
