RACE 1

1st Pick: PER INCROWN (2) - An extremely interesting runner for a new trainer and he is up in trip to the mile. The booking of Ruan Maia is a massive plus and he trialled well on Tuesday leading into this race.
2nd Pick: GOLD KINGDOM (10) - In decent form in his last few starts and should be bang in there.
3rd Pick: BEBOP (4) - Capable in this grade on his day and has dropped to a handy mark to get very competitive should he fancy to do so. Each-way player.
4th Pick: HELUSHKA (5) - Back to Class 5 racing now and is a couple of points below the last winning mark, but is without regular rider Mohd Zaki. Comeback jockey Troy See takes his first ride back on him.

RACE 2

1st Pick: FIGHTING HERO (6) - Showed a good attitude on debut to run a very nice second when the rider also dropped the whip at the 100m. He can only improve off that first start and should go very close again.
2nd Pick: STRONG N SMART (2) - An excellent fifth in the Singapore Golden Horseshoe behind Boomba (form working out well, Relentless is a winner since) and that is strong form for a race like this. A must include here.
3rd Pick: MORTAL ENGINE (1) - Has had one start at Wellington, New Zealand, and was beaten a long way. Has now joined champion trainer Michael Clements and on the back of some good work and trial, he should be kept safe here.
4th Pick: NATE'S CHAMPION (10) - Another who was doing all his best work in the latter part of the race behind Lady Sprintbok and looks like a typical Cliff Brown improving type. One for the exotics.

RACE 3

1st Pick: VULCAN (8) - Lightly-raced sort with a good turn of foot. One of two wins on Polytrack. Big say if he arrives on time. Blinkers on.
2nd Pick: BRUTUS (3) - Did his best in a strong Novice race last time out. This is much easier. Go close.
3rd Pick: MARDOONA (10) - Spelled since second-up win in August. Barrier trials have been steady. May need the run but he can still run a place. Blinkers and tongue-tie on.
4th Pick: MIRACLE (11) - Much better was expected from him, but he has not quite delivered. Last start was a touch better. Chance if he lifts his game.

RACE 4

1st Pick: BURGUNDY LAD (7) - In what is not a very strong race, a chance is taken with one of the runners to have had just the one start to date. That horse is Burgundy Lad, who has trialled well since not finding much racing room on debut.
2nd Pick: LIM'S OCEANIC (8) - Down the field on debut but can show improvement here in a weak race.
3rd Pick: MORE THAN OIL (3) - Has bits and pieces of form at a lowly level and should go well in this.
4th Pick: PHAXE (5) - The form of this fellow has a bit more to offer then most in this line-up. Each-way hope.

RACE 5

1st Pick: BLACK QUAIL (1) - A first ride for new apprentice jockey Jerlyn Seow. Now down in grade, this seasoned horse looks to have found an ideal race and is a great starting point for Seow to kick off her career in Singapore. Good luck to her and Black Quail.
2nd Pick: JUST STARS (9) - Has been racing well at this level and should have a part to play.
3rd Pick: LIM'S SHOT (6) - Continues to slip to a nice mark and finds a weak enough race to land a telling blow here. One to watch the market on.
4th Pick: WHAT YOU LIKE (7) - Stablemate of the selection and it wouldn't shock to see a bold show from this one.

RACE 6

1st Pick: BLUE BLOOD (4) - Always a danger when he is left alone upfront. Will jump from awkward alley but he has enough gate speed to overcome that. If he gets away cheaply, he will be hard to peg back.
2nd Pick: GOLD REWARD (9) - Needs more ground to be at his best. May find the mile a bit sharp but if they roll along, he can finish over the top of them.
3rd Pick: ASAAD (5) - The step-up to the mile was the key factor to his maiden win last time out. Led from a low draw but has drawn sticky this time. Place chances look better.
4th Pick: SPECIAL OPS (8) - Shed maiden status last start but this is a significant rise in class. Has been kept in good order and with no weight on his back, he can still be in the shake-up.

RACE 7

1st Pick: SUPER INVINCIBLE (5) - Keeps improving under Lee Freedman's polish all the time. His first race in Class 3 company was full of merit. If well rated, he can go all the way.
2nd Pick: NATIONALITY (3) - Another Lee Freedman galloper who bounced back to his best after two unplaced runs, but found one better in Magic Wand. Trip might be too short even if he won over 1000m early doors. Stablemate's biggest threat.
3rd Pick: RESOLUTION (9) - Coming off a solid run of form but is tackling tougher opposition. A big say in this cannot be ruled out.
4th Pick: QARAAT (6) - Formerly handy sprinter Super Fortune, but form has been on the wane for a long time. Change of stables seems to have sparked him up, though. Put through many trials. Tongue-tie on. Can sneak into the minors.

RACE 8

1st Pick: MAXIMILIAN (5) - Continues to run nice races and in a race of this nature, it can prove fruitful to be on his side in this contest.
2nd Pick: LADY STUNING (3) - A last-start winner and looks capable of another bold show in this grade having won a 1400m Maiden last start.
3rd Pick: HOSAYLIAO (7) - The form figures don't make great appeal on face value but if you dig a little deeper, he has form good enough to run well.
4th Pick: ANGEL HALO (4) - Not easy to predict but he has the ability, and it could be wise to include him if he is on a good day.

RACE 9

1st Pick: SURPASS NATURAL (3) -Polytrack specialist who seldom disgraced himself at the highest level. Back on his preferred surface, he can hit form again, especially under new trainer and the very good Ruan Maia.
2nd Pick: NOWYOUSEE (5) - Won the race last year when run as the Group 3 New Year Cup. Seems to prefer longer these days, as his second to Nepean in the EW Barker Trophy may suggest. Still a smart chance to go back-to-back.
3rd Pick: EXCELLING (2) - Freshened up since unplaced run in Lion City Cup. Has moved to Shane Baertschiger since. Brilliant in barrier trials. Barrier one is another positive. Winkers off. Top-three finish on the cards.
4th Pick: SKYWALK (1) -Can never be underestimated when he steps on Polytrack. Will appreciate the three-kilo relief and the handy barrier. Can finish in the money.

RACE 10

1st Pick: I AM SACRED (3) - Showed potential from Day 1 but can sometimes put in the odd howler. Backed off and returns fit and fresh. Bears watching.
2nd Pick: WEALTH ELITE (12) - Flew home for second at his last start, albeit well beaten by Wonderful Knight. Will relish extra 100m. Commands respect.
3rd Pick: KHAN (5) - Has found life tougher at Class 4 level, but he is not without claims here. Include in calculations.
4th Pick: MOONGATE FIVE (6) - One of those horses who has not thrived during the Circuit Breaker. Has performed below previous. Looks in better nick these days. Can spring a surprise.
