On Monday, 11 January 2021, Trainer J O'Hara advised that in his opinion, with all the recent rainfall the Polytrack may have been too firm for MINHAAJ (JP Van Der Merwe). He added that the gelding had passed a veterinary examination and he would continue with the current preparation.

A veterinary examination on Sunday, 10 January 2021 revealed that BIG REGARDS (App PH Seow) had returned lame off (right) fore and off (right) hind. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

On Monday, 11 January 2021, Trainer M Clements could offer no tangible explanation for the performance of BUSHIDO (L Beuzelin) other than as it was first up from a short spell the gelding would take benefit from the run. He added that the gelding had passed a veterinary examination and he would continue with the current preparation.

A veterinary examination on Sunday, 10 January 2021 revealed that GOLDEN THUNDER (CK Ng) had returned lame off (right) fore. It will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
