RACE 1

1st Pick: LAI MAK MAK (2) Now off a good mark and being back to this grade is a massive plus. The booking of Jerlyn Seow is also interesting as she has trialled the horse as recently as Tuesday (third in trial) and can make his presence felt here.
2nd Pick: SESON (5) Extremely unlucky not to have won last time out (winner got first run). He is well placed again and should go close.
3rd Pick: BLACK QUAIL (1) A course and distance winner and will be very fit thanks to recent racing. Leading contender.
4th Pick: TAKHI (7) In what is a very open race, it could pay to include Takhi for the multiples.

RACE 2
1st Pick: MALIBU BEACH (11) Racing again only six days on from his last start and is now up in trip. This Ricardo Le Grange- trained runner is lightly-raced and may well prove too good for this field.
2nd Pick: MASTER SOMMELIER (5) Has plenty of form under these conditions and can give Malibu Beach most to do here.
3rd Pick: RICVELO (1) Has now changed stables and name (formerly Alexander Horatio) and has the form to run well in a race of this nature.
4th Pick: QIJI STAR (3) In his element in such races. Include for the exotics.

RACE 3

1st Pick: WINNING HOBBY (5) Ignore last two starts when he was caught wide and could not quite put in inside the last 400m. Has drawn an alley and will be a bigger threat this time.
2nd Pick: HEADHUNTER (1) Loomed last start but then plodded on for sixth. Will appreciate three-kilo claim. Drawn awkwardly. Each-way claims in this easier affair.
3rd Pick: RADIANT SUCCESS (3) Badly interfered at start on debut. Made up some late ground. Worth some thought second-up.
4th Pick: ENTERTAINER (8) Scored nice win at fifth start. Rises in class. Not out of this. Can have a say.

RACE 4

1st Pick: DIAMOND MINE (3) Good in defeat last time out in a similar race and can go well here.
2nd Pick: BEAT THE LIGHT (9) Has the ability for a win in a race like this and must be included to be involved in the finish.
3rd Pick: PERFECT (8) Has been placed off a five-point higher mark and is one of the more obvious ones here. Place chance.
4th Pick: NADEEM SAPPHIRE (10) Continues to race off a nice mark and the Leslie Khoo stable are in good form (double last Sunday).

RACE 5

1st Pick: SUN TREK (1) Ex-Australian-trained four-year-old who was placed twice at Moonee Valley for team Hayes & Dabernig and has trialed well here. Leading apprentice jockey Hakim Kamaruddin is booked and they can prove hard to beat.
2nd Pick: ROCKET RYANE (5) Has been highly tried and has now got a handicap mark (46). This is very winnable. He has won a trial and will now sport the winkers and tongue tie for the first time.
3rd Pick: SPEARHEAD (6) Has some place form to speak of and is a place hope in this.
4th Pick: WISHUPONASTAR (8) Has had a name change (formerly Just Stars) and could pick up the pieces here. Include for exotics.

RACE 6

1st Pick: SPECIAL OPS (4) Gallant in defeat last start. Held up upon straightening. Could have finished closer. Distance should not pose any issue. Go close.
2nd Pick: ROYAL PAVILION (1) Bar raised after he passed through first 1800m test with flying colours last start. Wide alley is immaterial as he gets back. Faces stiffer task but can still make presence felt.
3rd Pick: WIND TRAIL (3) Stayed on well for third to Royal Pavilion last time out. Will relish extra 200m. Scored one of three wins over 2000m. Nice low draw. Can threaten late.
4th Pick: GOLD REWARD (9) Hampered at last start when fast-closing fourth to Royal Pavilion. In fine trim on the tracks. Won't surprise if he finishes over the top of them.

RACE 7

1st Pick: HEARTENING FLYER (11) Progressive sort resuming. Has been trialling in good order with two wins in as many trials. Barrier one. Looks the goods for a winning comeback.
2nd Pick: MAKKEM LAD (1) Never underestimate this pint-sized fighter when he gets his way in front. Not the best draw, but if he can roll forward without spending too much petrol, he won't be easy to pass.
3rd Pick: SPIRIT OF BIG BANG (6) Another exciting Michael Clements prospect returning after a long absence – more than a year. Handy draw. May need the run, but he's been working in good fashion and a forward showing first-up won't be a shock.
4th Pick: GOLD STAR (3) Never a factor in the Group 2 EW Barker Trophy. Tipped off since and gets in fresh. Can sneak into the minors with some luck.

RACE 8

1st Pick: DECRETO (3) Well suited here and can turn the tables on Hero Star.
2nd Pick: HERO STAR (2) The only last-start victor in the field and commands plenty of respect.
3rd Pick: MIRACLE (1) An interesting runner now down in grade but does need to show some spark now.
4th Pick: HIGH LIMIT (8) Back in distance here but is in form and looks interestingly placed here.

RACE 9

1st Pick: MURAAHIB (4) Every chance last start but peaked on his run late. Fitter for the run and from the handy draw, he can get a nice smothered run. Can turn the tables on Sincerely with the 3.5kgs turnaround. Leading hope.
2nd Pick: SINCERELY (14) Scored hard-fought win with no weight on his back last time out. Still gets a luxury load and as he has drawn an alley, he will be able to get an economical run throughout. No reason why he can't double the dose.
3rd Pick: SUPER DYNASTY (8) Not exactly a model of consistency but from barrier No 1 and with no weight on his back, he may have things his way again. Keep safe.
4th Pick: I'M INCREDIBLE (3) Former Singapore Horse of the Year making his reappearance since his disappointing run in the Kranji Mile in August. Form on training tracks cannot be faulted but it might be best to see how he goes first-up. Can pinch a place on class.

RACE 10

1st Pick: TRIPLE BOWL (11) Yet to score since moving from Malaysia where he won at only start. Blinkers on. Has been hitting around the mark of late and will be a big player when the whips are cracking.
2nd Pick: LEGEND OF THE SUN (3) Knocking on the door. Six furlongs would have been better but if they roll along, he can still threaten in this. Will be out in the cheap seats early, but as he comes from off the pace, it shouldn't really matter.
3rd Pick: SACRED GIFT (2) Solid run first-up from a break. Four-kilo claim and barrier No 2 are plus factors. Raced in a stronger company not too long ago. Will be thereabouts.
4th Pick: LONGHU (4) From barrier No 3, he may well be the likely leader in this. Always hard to peg back when he gets a soft lead in front, but place claims look better this time, though.
