RACE 1

1st Pick: SUPERIOR COAT (12) Scored a convincing win to break his maiden tag last time out. Should get the run of the race from handy barrier. Can double the dose.
2nd Pick: WHAT YOU LIKE (9) Has been rather consistent of late. Visors off. Should be in the firing line for a long way.
3rd Pick: TAKHI (5) Has not scored since his debut win in February 2020, and it's been more misses than hits thereafter. Not the worse here, though, and the switch to his winning surface could turn him around.
4th Pick: IRONCLAD (7) More of a turf horse, but is not hopeless on Polytrack. Took shortcuts home along the rails last time out but was swamped late. May not enjoy the same ground-saving run from the wide barrier this time. Pacifiers on. Each-way chance.

RACE 2

1st Pick: ATTILA (6) Having his first start here after being scratched at his previous outing to the races. Was impressive winning a trial on December 23, and did it in nice time as well.
2nd Pick: HOLY ELEANOR (9) Has been costly to punters in her career but not much depth in this race. Must respect a top-three finish off her previous form.
3rd Pick: FIGHTING HERO (2) Lightly-raced gelding who hasn't been too bad in some handy races. Like the booking of Danny Beasley and they won a trial during the season break. Watch market.
4th Pick: VICTOREM (1) Hasn't been all that flash over the shorter sprint trip. The rise in distance could be a positive and has trialled okay behind a handy one during the break.

RACE 3

1st Pick: ELLIOT NESS (10) Form has tapered off but last 2021 run and last start for Mark Walker was encouraging. No weight on his back. Visors on. Can bounce back to his best.
2nd Pick: KNIGHT LOVE (4) Needed the run at first two outings for his new handler Tan Kah Soon. Has since improved out of sight and will give a better account of himself here, especially from the good gate.
3rd Pick: THE BROTHERHOOD (7) Doesn't win out of turn but was impressive at his last-start win over the same course and distance. Has drawn an alley and gets new apprentice jockey Akmazani Mazuki on board, but Jerome Tan's new rider is no absolute beginner as he rode seven winners from 53 rides in Malaysia.
4th Pick: AL GREEN (1) Old but gold. Gives weight all round but he is a trier who won't be far behind when the whips are cracking. Should get a lovely run from the low draw.

RACE 4

1st Pick: BEBOP (2) Ran on strongly at last two starts. A better barrier would have enhanced his chances, but he is still hard to beat on current form.
2nd Pick: ANGEL HALO (8) Trainer Hideyuki Takaoka stands a solid chance of landing the quinella here. Honest and fairly consistent in this type of race. Well drawn. Bold run expected.
3rd Pick: BEAUTY SPIRIT (5) Vastly-improved mare since the blinkers came off and he has been stepped up to a mile. Back on same trip but on Polytrack over which she is still unproven, though. Place claims.
4th Pick: BLACK TAIPAN (7) Made good ground at his last run. Still a maiden but recent performances suggest his turn is not far off.

RACE 5

1st Pick: MALIBU BEACH (2) Stays in Class 5 after an eye-catching run last start where he was good value and just missed in the finish. Danny Beasley sticks, big chance.
2nd Pick: COUNTRY BOSS (1) Returns to Class 5 where he has only raced once and placed on that occasion a few years ago. At his best he can figure in this and much easier than what he has raced in before.
3rd Pick: GAMELY (6) He is a very consistent galloper who just struggles to find the finish line first. He isn't far away from that next win and in this field it's more likely than not.
4th Pick: PAPERBACK TROOPER (7) Racing at his pet distance this week. Getting on in age but racing in career-best form lately. From a strong yard and don't dismiss.

RACE 6

1st Pick: BASILISK (5) Earned 1.5kg from last-start second but trial was strong recently and looks in good shape. Ace alley should give him opportunity to find a handy position in front or on leaders' back.
2nd Pick: OUR PINNACLE (3) Despite not winning on the Polytrack before, he has run some honest races. Rider has had some minor placing success in the past, which has to give punters some confidence.
3rd Pick: AXEL (1) Maps just off speed. Had a nice hit-out Tuesday, quiet trial. Jerlyn Seow Poh Hui's claim should come into effect.
4th Pick: FIRST CHIEF (7) Up in grade, in form, should find front and looks the speed horse, one they will be chasing at the corner.

RACE 7

1st Pick: KSATRIA (8) Solid second last start. Can turn the tables on winner Hosayliao with the three-kilo turnaround. Improver who is close to opening his account.
2nd Pick: SAYONARA (10) Ignore last run when things went haywire. Overraced and was not suited by tempo. Beaten horse at the top of the straight. Can make amends.
3rd Pick: ACE SOVEREIGN (5) Forget he ran last time when he clipped heels, causing his jockey to lose his stirrups. Commands respect.
4th Pick: HOSAYLIAO (4) Last-start winner who can pick up where he left off. Working well on the training tracks. Drawn awkwardly but he can get back and run home.

RACE 8

1st Pick: DRAGON RYKER (7) Meets a very moderate field and going off his form in the last six months he can play a big role and is looking for his maiden win. Trialled nicely for this recently.
2nd Pick: SUN ELIZABETH (6) She prefers racing on the turf, but she is not a one-trick mare. Does have reasonably good form on this surface, and with some luck, she can surprise.
3rd Pick: I'M A CONQUEROR (4) If he can get a forward position where he does his best racing, he can play a role in this race. Liked his trial recently and is a three-time winner in his career.
4th Pick: LIM'S PRIDE (13) Needs to gain a start drawing the emergency runner card but off his trial recently he looks fit. If he gets a run, watch any market support.

RACE 9

1st Pick: SENOR DON (2) Drops 2kg from last start against Real Effecto. They have drawn 1 and 3, so it will be interesting early. Looks to be the speed influence in the race and back to Polytrack suits.
2nd Pick: REAL EFECTO (4) Undefeated over the Polytrack mile. Seemed well at a quiet trial on Tuesday. Expected to boot up from one and will try and hold out Senor Don from finding soft lead.
3rd Pick: PENNYWISE (1) Raced keen through early part of race and although he stuck on, he did a lot of work. He faces an easier field this time but carries more weight for the privilege.
4th Pick: LEATHERHEAD (8) Has a superb track and distance record (9:4-1-1-1), albeit against inferior company. Up to Class 3, it will be tougher but is in the environment to put in a career-best performance.

RACE 10

1st Pick: RED ROAR (4) Speedy galloper who likes to get out running and at good sectionals. Now back to a winning rating and should be supported.
2nd Pick: LIM'S HOPEFULLY (3) Drawn well in three to get a lovely run off what should be nice speed. Nice record over the course and distance.
3rd Pick: GLOBAL SPIRIT (7) Caught the eye last start running second to Lim's Shot. Can show speed and from the wide barrier should press forward and run well.
4th Pick: ONE WORLD (1) Gets into the weaker division and penalised by being top weight but aided by a claim for Troy See. Hasn't been too far away in recent runs. With good speed can finish off sharply.

RACE 11

1st Pick: HYDE PARK (6) A real "what you see is what you get" horse. From barrier 2, he should jump and find the front. With great frontrunning apprentice Jerlyn Seow Poh Hui up, he should give a kick and be the one they will have to chase down.
2nd Pick: ALWAYS INNOCENT (8) Drawn the ace, should be able to position up here well in the run just off the speed and be there in the finish. A good jump is critical, though.
3rd Pick: ROMANTIC (1) Should settle midfield and be working into the race late with some luck. Always runs an honest race for punters. Four-kilo claiming apprentice engaged, however. So, the only concern is potentially having to navigate through traffic late.
4th Pick: KING ARTHUR (3) Earns 4kg for last-start win but was super tough, three deep the whole way. 1000m is a query, though.

RACE 12

1st Pick: BUURAQ (5) Was getting into the race last start but shifted at 300m. Poor gate once again so has to go back but 4kg less than last outing with apprentice engaged. Speed sets up for him to be running over the top late. Will need luck but could be some value.
2nd Pick: RENZO (7) Looks like the speed influence in the race, trialled up really nice but this looks hot race on paper, they should fly.
3rd Pick: SIAM ROYAL ORCHID (1) Shall settle off the speed, will be in right part of the field to run on.
4th Pick: DEN OF THIEVES (11) Trialled super and despite stepping up in class, has to be respected from his last win. One for the multiples.
