Richard Fahey dominated the Weatherbys Super Sprint by saddling the first, second and fourth in the valuable two-year-old contest at Newbury.
The North Yorkshire trainer threw eight horses at the five-furlong dash and was rewarded as Lathom (28-1) landed the spoils by a neck from Mr Lupton (25-1) in the hands of Tony Hamilton.
It was Fahey's second success in this race after Peniaphobia two years ago.
Field Of Vision (33-1) was a nose away in third for Hungerford trainer Joe Tuite, with another Fahey representative, David's Duchess, fourth.
Hamilton said: "I have had a couple of Group race winners but in terms of prize-money, this is the biggest race I have ever won.
"He always travelled well, it was just a case of getting a bit of room.
"I had to switch around John Egan on Field Of Vision but he picked up well.
"I knew I was going to get a good tow into it as these races are like a cavalry charge - it was just a case of getting there as late as possible.
"I blame myself for his run at Ascot as I chased the American horse and paid the price but this time he switched off and loved that fast ground."
