Trainer Willie McCreery feels Devonshire will not be winning out of turn if she can claim victory in the Dance Design Fillies Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

The daughter of Fast Company has been placed four times from five starts this season, most notably finishing an excellent third in the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

She was only narrowly denied in the Listed Ruby Stakes at Killarney a week and a half ago and hopes are high the Godolphin-owned filly can open her account for the campaign in this weekend's Group Three assignment in the hands of James Doyle.

McCreery said: " She ran a good race the last day, she's been running well all year and deserves to get her head in front.

"The only disappointing run she's had all year was on the fast ground at Royal Ascot. I think this softer ground suits her well and the trip should suit as well.

"James knows her well, so it's great to have him on board again. It would be great if she can do it this weekend."

Bocca Baciata was little over a length behind Devonshire when fifth in the Irish Guineas for Jessica Harrington.

The three-year-old was unable to land a blow on her next start in the Tercentenary Stakes at Royal Ascot, but bounced back when third in the Kilboy Estate Stakes over course and distance.

"She goes there with every chance, hopefully," said Harrington.

"She seems in good form and the ground should be fine for her, so we'll see how we go."

A nine-strong field is headed by Dermot Weld's four-time winner Brooch, while Aidan O'Brien is double-handed with Easter and Outstanding both declared, and John Oxx saddles My Titania.

Akira, Dragon Fei and Stellar Glow complete the line-up.
