Gordon Elliott has not ruled out running Apple's Jade at the Punchestown Festival after revealing she scoped dirty following her disappointing run in the Champion Hurdle.

The seven-year-old mare saw her unbeaten run this season come to an end in the Grade One prize on Tuesday, when trailing home a well-beaten sixth behind Espoir D’Allen after being sent off the 7-4 favourite.

Elliott said: “She was disappointing, but she didn’t scope well after the race. She didn’t run her race and we will put a line through it.

“She has won three Grade Ones this year. We might go back to Punchestown, we will see what happens.
