The Racing and Sports Priceline for the 2019 Goodwood Cup.
Goodwood is one of the great weeks on the global racing calendar and this year starts with a bang as staying champ Stradivarius looks to win the Goodwood Cup for the third time.
As we did with the Royal Meeting at Ascot we will look to publish prices from the Racing and Sports pricing model for the group races across the week. Since Ascot The Model has undergone a slight tweak in a quest to get a bit more punchy with her pricing/selections - when we find one we like we want to get stuck in!

Vintage Stakes: Pinatubo $2.10; Visinari $4.00; Mystery Power $7.00.
Lennox Stakes: Hey Gaman $2.80; Zaaki $4.00; Space Traveller $10.00; Speak In Colours $10.00.
Goodwood Cup: Stradivarius $2.00; Cross Counter $4.00; Dee Ex Bee $6.00.
First point - the Vintage Stakes is awesome. Pinatubo and Mystery Power come off big winning ratings and Visinari's debut was about as fast as debuts go.
Despite that depth our more aggressive model likes what she sees in Pinatubo - a huge figure last time for a world class trainer and a jockey that hits at 28% for them. The edges aren't large here but they are with the top of the market in The Model's eyes. Such strength at the top makes winning from lower bases hard work!
In the Lennox it's Hey Gaman at the top of the betting. His three good ratings this season all play well here and a red-hot Dettori in the saddle is statistically a big bonus. Zaaki, the main danger, is about the right price in early betting but again The Model is wanting to play at the top end of town. As we've said in the past, when the best jockeys are on the best chances The Model starts to purr...
Playing at the very top end of town looks expensive in the Goodwood Cup though. Stradivarius is a champion but he faces a serious test here with Cross Counter having peaks at the same level and connections that can hold their own with Gosden and Dettori when it comes to winning races. Doyle gave Dettori plenty to think about on Saturday and gets a great chance to do so again.
The Model hugs the market fairly tightly but it certainly doesn't see any edge in chasing the champ into deep odds-on and each way plays around Cross Counter and/or Dee Ex Bee look better shopping. Again the Model gets pointy here, marking the fringe players very little hope.
