Earthlight  will aim to maintain his unbeaten record in the Prix Morny at Deauville on August 18.

Trained by Andre Fabre and owned by Godolphin, the Shamardal colt has won all three of his starts to date, the latest a Group Three at Deauville by an impressive four lengths from Charlie Appleby's Listed winner Well Of Wisdom.

Should all go to plan in the Prix Morny, Fabre could then consider a trip to Newmarket for either the Middle Park over six furlongs or the Dewhurst over seven.

"He'll go to the Prix Morny, we'll just keep an eye on the going," said Fabre.

"He wants good ground, not soft. It was called good to soft when he won at Deauville, but soft doesn't have the same meaning in France as in England – soft in England is nearly French heavy.

"I think we'll probably keep to six furlongs this year, but we will see.

"In September there is the Dewhurst and the Middle Park to think about, if all goes well in the Morny he could come over for one of those.

"He looks exciting so far, he won easily last time and has a nice temperament."

Among those already mentioned for the Prix Morny are Mark Johnston's Raffle Prize, John Quinn's Liberty Beach and Clive Cox's Golden Horde.
