John Gosden reached 200 winners worldwide for 2019 when Disco Fever  struck at Lingfield.

Wednesday's success took Gosden to 190 domestic winners, plus 10 abroad which include Group Ones in Ireland and France.

Following a promising debut fourth at Kempton two weeks ago, Disco Fever was sent off 6-4 favourite in the Ladbrokes Where The Nation Plays EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes.

The daughter of Oasis Dream obliged in style under Robert Havlin, by powering five lengths clear of Zenaida.

The winning jockey told Sky Sports Racing: "It's good, because that's our 200th winner of the year worldwide – it's good to get it out of the way.

"She's learnt plenty from her first run. It's always nice when they do it like that – although she missed the kick (last time), she learnt plenty, ran through horses and finished off. She did it all the right way round."

Havlin predicts a bright future for Disco Fever, too.

"She'll be nice in the spring, I think," he added.

"The boss will probably want to put her away now. She's 518 kilos at the minute, so there's plenty there to work on.

"She has speed when you want it. She picked up really well off the bend, but she was very relaxed through the race and went the right way after her first run.

"It's nice. She's ticking all the right boxes at the minute."

There was a double for the trainer and jockey when the once-raced Shimmering justified 7-4 favouritism in the Ladbrokes Home Of The Odds Boost EBF Novice Stakes.
