If The Cap Fits ready to take on Paisley Park

Fry confirms Cleeve plan.

Harry Fry has given If The Cap Fits  the green light to tackle Paisley Park this weekend – but promising stablemate King Roland is as yet only a 'possible' on the same Cheltenham card.

A Grade One winner over three miles last season, If The Cap Fits proved his versatility by dropping back down in trip two months ago to win the Ascot Hurdle for a second time on his only start so far in the current campaign.

Saturday's galliardhomes.com Cleeve Hurdle will be the first time If The Cap Fits has met Paisley Park – the dominant horse in the staying division at present.

Fry said: "The Cleeve Hurdle is the plan for If The Cap Fits, as long as the ground is not too testing."

King Roland is entered in the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle, and has won three of his four races under Rules to date – most recently by 19 lengths at Exeter.

"King Roland is a possible for Cheltenham on Saturday," said Fry.

"He is a horse with an exciting future, and I was delighted with his performance at Exeter.

"We will make a decision towards the end of the week (on) whether he runs, but he is a horse I like a lot.

"A step up in trip will be important for him, going forward."
