Newmarket winner King Leonidas  is one of 26 entries for Thursday's Jersey Stakes, one of the feature events on day three of Royal Ascot.

John Gosden's charge was a comfortable two-and-a-quarter-length winner of a mile novice heat last week and he could make a quick reappearance, with Frankie Dettori provisionally booked for the mount.

Gosden also has Yarmouth winner Haqeeqy  in the mix, with the Karl Burke-trained Lord Of The Lodge another leading contender after being Group Two-placed last year and winning on the all-weather back in February.

Other notable names in the seven-furlong contest include 1000 Guineas sixth Under The Stars , 2000 Guineas sixth Kinross and French raider Celestin, who finished fourth in the Poule d'Essai des Poulains at the start of the month.

The Listed Wolferton Stakes also has 26 possibles, headed by Gosden's Winter Derby winner Dubai Warrior  and Brigadier Gerard scorer Lord North, although he is also entered earlier in the week.

Bangkok would be an eyecatching contender for Andrew Balding, but like stablemate Fox Tal, he is also entered for the Prince of Wales's Stakes on Wednesday.

Sir Michael Stoute's Regal Reality , who finished third in last year's Eclipse, could have his first outing since being gelded over the winter.

The Chesham Stakes has 19 contenders at this stage, with first-time-out winners Modern News, Bright Devil, Concessions and Miami Joy leading the way.

The ever-competitive Britannia Stakes over a mile has 42 possibles, with the Sandringham Handicap drawing 23.

The Golden Gates Handicap over 10 furlongs for three-year-olds opens proceedings this year, with 39 entered for a race that will be contested for this year only following the coronavirus shutdown.
