Chris Stickels, Clerk of the Course at Ascot, said at this morning: "We had 11 millimetres of rain overnight up until 8.30am this morning and the going is now Good to Soft.
"It is still raining lightly at the moment so the ground could possibly go to Good to Soft, Soft in places on the Round Course. I walk the course again at 10.30am to 11.00am.
"The forecast is for further possible showers today. Tomorrow and Saturday and forecast to be drier, with only the risk of an occasional shower."
