The Racing and Sports Pricing Model picks for the 2020 York Stakes.

The Racing and Sports Pricing Model has run it's rule over the 2020 York Stakes and finds last year's winner Elarqam as the most appealing play as he looks to bounce back from a plain run in the Hardwicke at Royal Ascot. 

That was over an extra two furlongs, a trip he was far from assured to see out, and can probably be written off as that having been the case. He looks one to bounce back to something more like peak form now, particularly getting back to the course where he won this race last year and followed up with a terrific effort to be placed in the Juddmonte International. 

There he got by King Of Comedy - an enigmatic talent if ever there was one. King OF Comedy has positive variables for the Model to consider, peak talent being the main one, but not enough to really fancy him at the early quote. While the same could be said of Regal Reality. 

Telecaster is the second pick in the early betting and that is a fair assessment. He won a Dante here and returned a strong rating last time. But his positives seem well accounted for in the betting at this stage. 

The edges aren't big, but what's there lays with Elarqam in the eyes of The Model and he can be backed to defend his York Stakes crown at prices around 2/1.
