Champion trainer Henk Grewe is preparing his latest G1 winner Donjah to become his first runner in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
The four-year-old filly beat a field containing British fancies Dame Malliot and Barney Roy to land the Preis Von Europa over 1m4f two weeks ago.
She will now try to emulate Danedream, who claimed Europe's richest race for Germany in 2011 via a victory in Germany's top race, the G1 Grosser Preis Von Baden.
"Donjah is a horse apart – she is fantastic," said Grewe. "Now she is a Group 1 winner, our plan is to aim for the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. She has nothing to lose and everything to win. She has achieved everything that we have asked of her.
"We would like her to run in the Grosser Preis Von Baden before heading to the big French race. 2020 is her final year of competition."
In the wake of Donjah's victory her French jockey Clement Lecoeuvre has been appointed first jockey to owners Darius Racing for the rest of 2020.
Grewe, who has a narrow lead in the national trainers' rankings again this year, had coveted the Arc for his top three-year-old Wonderful Moon, but instead the colt will reappear in the G3 Prix du Prince d'Orange over 1m2f at ParisLongchamp on September 6 having failed to stay in the Deutsches Derby.
