Speedster makes Hong Kong debut on Sunday.

Ex-Australian star Classique Legend  will have to defy stall one in Sunday's Longines Hong Kong Sprint at Sha Tin.

Now trained by Caspar Fownes in Hong Kong, the five-year-old won the hugely-valuable Everest by two and a half lengths in October when handled by Les Bridge.

Classique Legend will be making his debut for Fownes in the Sprint, but in 14 previous renewals, stall one has yet to produce a winner.

"I was really hoping for gate five, to tell you the truth, all the way before the draw started," Fownes said.

"He's a horse that needs a bit of room. Anyway, it is what it is. Most people won't complain about draw one. He'll be ridden to get his chance and we'll see what happens.

"He won't be hassled out of the gates early, he'll probably be back in midfield. Just going to hope that the legendary Hong Kong pace is on, like it always is, and then it's up to Vincent (Ho) to ride his race."

Ryan Moore's mount Danon Smash is at the other end of the draw in 14, while he will be in stall one on Magical in the Hong Kong Cup.

Only eight go to post, with William Buick on Danon Premium (six) and Champion Stakes runner-up Skalleti in stall four.

Mogul was drawn in stall four for the Hong Kong Vase with Exultant in five.

Aidan O'Brien's Breeders' Cup winner, Order Of Australia, is also in stall one in the Hong Kong Mile, where Pierre-Charles Boudot maintains the partnership. Romanised is in stall four for Ken Condon.
