Solid Stone  could bid for a third successive Group Three win in the ABF/BGC Cumberland Lodge Stakes at Ascot.

Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, the five-year-old bagged the Winter Hill at Windsor at the end of August before following up in the Dubai Legacy Cup at Newbury.

The William Haggas-trained Ilaraab was third that day, and he also features in a list of 11 contenders on Saturday – along with Hukum.

Owen Burrows' charge won two Group Three heats at Newbury and York this summer, but suffered a surprise reverse when beaten a neck by Hamish as he attempted to concede weight in the September Stakes at Kempton at the start of the month.

Stoute has a possible second string in Alignak – while Charlie Appleby's Manobo is unbeaten in three starts, most recently lifting a French Listed event. He also beat dual Classic runner-up Mojo Star on his first start back in May.

Alounak, Eagles By Day, Mandoob, Quickthorn, Title and Wells Farhh Go also feature.

The John Guest Racing Bengough Stakes has drawn a quality entry of 24, headed by last year's British Champions Sprint winner Glen Shiel.

He has not won since lifting that Group One heat at this track nearly 12 months ago, although he did claim a fine second in the Diamond Jubilee at the Royal meeting in June.

Bielsa and Great Ambassador, trained by Kevin Ryan and Ed Walker respectively, filled the first two places in the Ayr Gold Cup last time out and could renew rivalries in this Group Three heat – with Brad The Brief, Summerghand and Snazzy Jazzy others who may be back for more after finishing down the field that day.

Last year's Middle Park Stakes third Minzaal is entered in both the Bengough and the Listed Oakman Group Rous Stakes as he prepares to make his belated return for Burrows.

Resurgent veteran Danzeno and Haggas' Hurricane Ivor are others to note in the five-furlong race – which also has 24 possibles at this stage.

Royal Ascot winner Highfield Princess is one of 24 entered too for the Listed World Mental Health Day British EBF Stakes, otherwise known as the October Stakes.
