Owners AMO Racing have another bullet to fire at this year's Classics after 8/1 shot Indestructible won the Craven Stakes (G3) for trainer Karl Burke and retained rider Kevin Stott.

Dancing Magic set the pace in a field of seven with the eventual winner sitting prominently and taking a keen hold. Jockey Oisin Murphy made headway from the rear, kicking for home on The Foxes two furlongs out and looked the likely winner until Kevin Stott released Indestructible who finished off strongly to score by one-and-a-quarter lengths despite drifting right. The Foxes maintained his position to finish second for trainer Andrew Balding with Roger Teal's Dancing Magic in third. The 15/8 favourite Mysterious Night finished last.

It was a second Classic trial success for owners AMO Racing after Mama's Girl won the Nell Gwyn Stakes (G3) at Newmarket on Wednesday.

Jockey Kevin Stott was clearly excited by the prospect of Indestructible in the 2000 Guineas (G1). "He's a very big horse and coming to the two [furlong marker] I thought we'd ran out of gas, but as soon as something came to me he just went again. I couldn't pull him up after," he told ITV Racing. "He did it really nicely and I was very impressed. He handled the dip very well and hit the line very strong."

The Kodiac colt is a general 14/1 shot for the 2000 Guineas on the 7th of May.
