The globe-trotting Mawj will remain on the move after her disappointing seasonal reappearance in the Group 1 Jebel Hatta at Meydan.

Last season's 1000 Guineas heroine has not been seen on British or Irish soil since her victory at Newmarket, winning the Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes before an agonising nose defeat in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Mile behind fellow Godolphin-owned Master Of The Seas.

Although regular jockey Oisin Murphy was able to sit the filly at the front of the main group in the Jebel Hatta and appeared to be travelling well with two furlongs to run, she went backwards in the closing stages and finished a very disappointing last of nine.

"She has come back well after the race, she was a little bit quiet afterwards and we were disappointed with her," said trainer Saeed bin Suroor.

"There is nothing wrong with her at all, she has come back sound, but she was quiet after the race.

"Now we will look for a race for her, maybe in America in April time. There is a race over a mile at Keeneland and that could be one of the options, then she'll be back in Europe to run in European races.

"Sometimes things happen in racing, but I spoke to Oisin (Murphy) after the race and there was nothing wrong with her, but it was not her day.

"There are no more races for her in the UAE, as we want to come back to the mile. I know she has won over nine furlongs in the past, but that was against fillies and I think she is better at a mile."
