This was much to the delight of her connections when she overtook Poetic Flare in the closing stages and Snow Lantern who had beaten her last time they met.  The going was soft and she was the one who handled it best.

Earlier it was Last Empire 16/1 who won the Oak Tree from the more-fancied Onassis with Highfield Princess third.  Valeria Messalina was a non-runner.

The Molecomb saw Armor, by No Nay Never, produce an exciting turn of foot to win by 3 ¼ lengths from Fearly with Boonie 9/1 third.

Thursday sees the running of the Nassau Stakes G1 for f&m.  The ground is supposed to be a bit better with a good to soft reading as there has been no more rain.  It's going to be a great race between the James Fanshaw trained Audarya on 6/4 and the Aidan O'Brien trained Joan of Arc on 2/1.  Lady Bowthorpe has many admirers and comes into this on 7/2 but there are only 6 runners which is a bit of a shame.

Earlier the G2 Richmond Stakes is over 1200m for the 2yo c&gs. Asymmetric heads the market on 5/2 – Alan King trains the son of Showcasing and Martin Harley rides.  Gis A Sub is by Acclamation and is on 7/2 for the Kevins – Ryan and Stott, and Perfect Power, by Ardad is on 4/1 for Richard Fahey and Paul Hanagan.

The Gordon Stakes is G3 over 1600m and has 8 runners.  Third Realm is current fav on 5/2 but we prefer the Godolphin runner Yibir on 5/1 and while Wordsworth is improving with every run he may not quite beat Yibir.
