And another QEII

3 minute read

This time at Keeneland.

There must be some sort of a record for races named after Her Majesty as apart from the QEII at Ascot there is this one in America and then another in Australia, one in Japan and one in Hong Kong.

This version at Keeneland is actually called the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup and is for 3yo fillies over 1800m on the turf.  There are 10 runners and Empress Josephine was third in her warm-up here last weekend so she is on top in the morning line on 3/1.  John Velzquez has the ride.  She's up against a pair of Chad Brown runners – Shantisari on 7/2 with Fabian Prat and Technical Analysis on 4/1 with J-l Ortiz.  Burning Ambition is 6/1 for Cox-Geroux.
