Japanese runner Deep Bond, a son of Kizuna, won the Prix Foy in Paris on what was supposed to be a run to "familiarise" him with the course.  He now heads to the Arc.

At Chukyo Resistencia won the Centaur under Christophe Lemaire with second favourite Pixie Knight the second home, and Kurino Gaudi filled the third placing.

At Nakayama Catedral, the ride of Keita Tosaki, won the Keisei Hai Autumn Hamdicap G3 over 1600m.  He started on 15.4 and defeated Contra Check by a neck with favourite Grenadier Guards third.  Not a bad run from Karate In fifth.
