Peru cleans up in the Latino Americano

3 minute read

The 40th Gran Premio was run on Sunday at the Monterrico track in Lima.

This proved to be a big home advantage to the seven Peruvian runners who finished in the first 8 with the winner being Manyuz.  Manyuz's team decided to pass the qualifying races and pay the US$25,000 supplement and the tactic paid off.

Manyuz won by 3 ¾ lengths to fellow local Don't Lose Time second and another local Cofrade third.  The fourth spot went to the Brazilian L'Ente Supreme.
