With a week to go to the big FWD Champions day meeting, this is a very low key event.

The 9th race the Alanwick Stakes is the only Class 2 on the card and is over 1200m and will have 11 starters.

Will Power is a useful sort and Douglas Whyte is putting up Jerry Chau who can claim the weight which may be useful.  They are on 6.5.

Caspar Fownes saddles Kurpany and has booked Moreira for the ride – they are on 4.4.

We love anything to do with chocolate and will have to have something on Amazing Chocolate on 5.4 for Tony Millard and Karis Teetan.

Harry Bentley starts riding at this meeting but does not have a mount in this.

Neil Callan is appealing his sentence which in our eyes looked extremely harsh.

The Japanese runners have been arriving in Hong Kong for next weekend's big races and we will have more about them next week.
