However Markus Klug travels his horses with purpose and here his Reliable Man colt Ardakas stared favourite and obliged.  Clement Lecoeuvre was in the irons.

They were chased home by the locals Tempesti 5/2 and Frozen Day 11/2.

The Premio Presidente della Repubblica stayed at home with Cantocorale winning on 19/2 ahead of favourite Flag's Up.
