This year's edition of the Gr 1 contest is something of a match race between Swiss Skydiver and Monomy Girl.

There's a purse of US$ 1 million here which has tempted these two top females who are two of the top 4 horses in the US at this time.

Swiss Skydiver started the season with a scintillating win in the Beholder and Monomy Girl won her 14th win from 16 starts in the Bayakoa.  They did meet in the Breeders' Cup Distaff but Swiss Skydiver blew the start and was not a factor in the race.

They are both imposing looking mares and while the market has Monomy Girl on top on evens we are leaning towards the Swiss Miss on 2/1.  Monomy Girl won the Bayaokoa here on a sloppy track and there are thunderstorms and rain in the Saturday forecast.  Hmmm.
