On a day without too much excitement Highly Proactive caused some in the Lam Tsuen Class 2 over 1400m.

Even trainer Francis Lui had not expected him to win but we had him as our roughie as he had a light weight and Karis Teetan in the irons.  He held out in a tough finish to beat Californiadeepshot by a head with one-time favourite Beauty Smile unable to do better than third in an attempt to win a third consecutive race.  The Crown actually started favourite but encountered several traffic problems and finished 5th.
