On Sunday the daughter of Lord Kanaloa goes for the third leg of the fillies' Triple Crown in the Shuka Sho G1 at Kyoto over 2000m.

There are 8 daughters of Deep Impact in the field. Almond Eye is odds- on and the next best is Lucky Liiac, who is by our beloved Orfevre, on 9.5. We think Rose Bowl winner Cantabile has a good chance here - one of the DI daughters - with Take in the irons and a quote of 18.1. Salacia. another DI daughter, is also handy and is on 15.4.

On Saturday it is the Fuchu Himba at Tokyo G2 for 3y+ and a small-ish field for Japan of 11 runners. We like Deidre who will start favourite on 2.6 ahead of Lys Gracieux on 3/2, and we prefer Crocosima for a place ahead of Soul Stirring who hasn't lived up to her pedigree.
