Dewhurst Day at Newmarket

3 minute read

And the Cesarewitch - one of our favourite Heritage Handicaps with this year's version featuring a field o 34 runners.

Starting off there's the G3 Autumn Stakes over 1600m with a field of 9. Andre Fabre does a lot of raiding at this time of the year and will saddle Persian King here who is on 7/4, with Kadar on 10/3 for Karl Burke and William Buick and we are putting in Western Australia 12/1 as our each-way fairly roughie.

The Dewhurst for the 2yos sees Too Darn Hot on 10/11 with the baby brother having recorded a top price in the recent sales. Most likely challengers are Anthony van Dyck and Sangarius.

Te Cesarewitch comes next with 34 horses to charge over the 3600m. Willie Mullins has sent over a few decent hurdlers who should have no problem with the trip - They are Stratum 6/1, Limini 12/1 and Whisky Sour 18/1. Southern France is the fav on 9/2 for the O'Briens A & D, and our roughie at 40/1 is Stanly trained by Richard Hughes.

To round off we have the Darley St. G3 over 1800m with 9 runners headed by Sir Michael Stoute's Gabr and Andre Fabre's Trais Fluor on 4/1. Beshaayir is 5/1 for Williams Haggas and Buick.
