79th Kikuka Sho in Kyoto Sunday

3 minute read

The Kikuka Sho (Japanese St Leger) is over 3000m which makes it particularly interesting with the possible Melbourne Cup future runners.

This year's edition has the Harbinger colt Blast Onepiece on top on 3.44. Etario will be ridden by Mirco Demuro and he's on 44.5. The Orfevre product Epoca d'Oro is on 5.1, General Uno 9.2. And he's not really a roughie but worth at least a bit of each-way and that is Grandiose, with Joao Moreira riding.

No luck yesterday for the Japanese runners in the Caulfield Cup although Sole Impact gave a good sight for the first half of the race.
