He's only very lightly raced -this was his fourth start - but Christophe Lemaire found he has all the gears and managed a thrilling win at Kyoto on Sunday

He won by a nose from Etario under Mirco Demuro as the two put on a thrilling duel down the straight from about the 200m mark.

It looked at one stage as if You Can Smile under Yutaka Take was going to make it a 3-way photo but he faded over the last 100m and had to settle for third. Favourite Blast Onepiece was fourth.

Fierement was on 14.5 and You Can Smile 31.7.
