On Saturday at Sha Tin the feature was Race 8 on the card, the Panasonic Cup over 1400m.

Little Giant was installed as favourite but it was not to be his day. That went to the Richard Gibson trained Rattan, who under Chad Schofield produced a victory after a tense battle with Conte and the favourite with a 3-way photo finally establishing Rattan the winner from Conte and Little Giant.

More Than Lucky was a bit further back in fourth, and one of the fancied runners Simply Brilliant was baclk in sixth.
