Harry Cobden steered the odds-on favourite Clan Des Obeaux to an 11 lengths victory in the G2 Denman Chase at Ascot.

For the record Terrefort was the second home. Clan has now added the Denman to his King George for a very satisfying double.

The Reynoldstown saw the favourite flop and the Tizzard stable chalk up another winner with Mister Malarky who defeated Now McGinty by 1 1/2 lengths with favourite Top Ville Ben not a factor.

At Haydock the Rendlesham went to Shades of Midnight after favourite Yanworth was pulled up. Petticoat Tails was 8 lengths away in second with Kilooley third and Clyne fourth.

The Bartlett Prestige Novices' Hurdle saw Lisnagar Oscar 6/1 score a runaway win of 10 length over Ash Beau and Stoney Mountain third.
