This is a good Derby trial for the 3yo colts and the field of 10 runners here will be headed by the Novellist colt Last Draft.

He’s on 2.3 in the Morning Line. Next is Nishino Daisy (yes, a colt) on 3.5 – he’s by Harbinger. Two Deep Impacts follow Cantor on 5.2 and Satono Radius on 7.5.

Saturday saw the running of the G2 Tulip Sho, the trial for the 1000 Guineas, which was won by the odds-on favourite Danon Fantasy, a Deep Impact filly, under Yuga Kawada. She beat Shigeru Pink Dial on 17.2 by a length, with Noble Score 34.1 a nose away in third and in turn Donau Delta 26.0 was ahead back in fourth.
