This trial for the Japanese 2000 Guineas saw Meisho Tengen, a Deep Impact product, come through for a convincing win.

He started at 39.1, and won by 1 1/2 lengths to Schwarz Reis with Breaking Dawn 3/4 length back in third. Favourite Last Draft was in 7th place. The track at Nakayama was rated yielding so there could have been a different result on fast ground.

Good to see visiting jockey Filip Minarik rides a stakes winner on Urban Kid in the 9th race.
