Clean Sweep for Chile in the Latino-Americano

3 minute read

Club Hipico de Santiago has kept its reputation for hosting home winners intact in a big way.

With the winner being the talented Derby winner Ya Primo, the first five horses over the line were locals. Nombar came in second just ahead of the tiring Brown Storm who had set a furious pace for the race, with Penn Rose fourth and Ex Expreso fifth.

Sixties Son was unable to repeat his efforts of two years ago and Nuevo Maestro, who was a little fractious before the race, may not have had a good day.

There was a very large crowd on hand to cheer on the local horses.

A half share in the winner was sold about two weeks ago so the purchasers should be very happy people tonight.
