At Nakayama the Fuji TV Sho Spring Stakes which is a good trial for the 2000 Guineas has been won by Emeral Fight 27.1.

He defeated favourite Fantasist with Dixie Knight third, Tagano Diamond fourth and Higashi Iguazul fifth.

In Hanshin he Daishoten is seen as a trial for the Tenno Sho (Spring) also over 3000m and here there were no problems for the favourite Sciacchetra. The rest of the results were a bit different to what had been envisaged as second went to Kafuji Prince on 20.3, followed by Lord Vent d'Or and Sole Impact, who was in Australia last spring but couldn't quite provide the results that he has had at home.

On Saturday the G3 Flower Cup at Nakayama for the 3yo fillies, a trial for the 1000 Guineas, went to Contra Check on 2.8 with the favourite Alle Voix not far behind. Rambling Alley was third and Shadow Diva foruth.

At Chukyo the Falcon Stakes went to Happy Hour on 6.3, trained by Koshiro Take, brother of Yutaka. Groove it on 6.0 was second, Rosen Krieger on 7.3 third and Shonen Taiga on 72.0 was fourth.
