The Scat Daddy product Mr Melody showed no problems with the drop in trip and pulled off a convincing win in the Chukyo feature.

He ran just off the pace, got a gap going into the straight and away he went. There was a rush of horses for the finish and Seiun Kosei emerged as second, Shonan Anthem third and Danon Smash fourth. Let's Go Donki was at the rear for much of the race and came storming home, running the fastest last 300m but had to settle for sixth.

The Japanese contingent has arrived safely in Dubai and have been stretching their legs on the Meydan track in the early mornings. We will bring a report after the Barrier Draw on Wednesday.
