The Mildmay Novices' Chase Gr 1 has also just 7 runners and we like both the top two - Topofthegame is 4/5 and Lostintranslation on 3/1.

The Melling Chase is now to be known as the JLT Chase Gr. 1 and we have a great clash in store here between the top three - Waiting Patiently on 2/1, Politologue 9/4 and Min on 3/1. We are leaning towards Politologue here.

The Topham Handicap Chase is Gr 3 and it has a field of 29! Very very open with Janika on 7/1 the top pick and Call it Magic 8/1 the only ones in single figures. So the pin has fallen on San Benedetto 16/1, Sub Lieutenant on 28/1 and O O Seven 20/1. Now if they come in........

But we may stay and watch the Doom Bar Sefton Novice's Hurdle Gr 1 where 13 will run. At present the top pick is Champ on 5, and we like Lisnager Oscar on 6/1. Roughie here is Trevelyn's Corn 14/1.
