Two G2s and a classy Class 1

3 minute read

That's the excitement at Sha Tin this Sunday where there is an excellent program for the enthusiasts.

The first of the G2s is the Sprint Cup where with only 6 runners it looks like being a ding-dong battle between Mr Stunning and Beat The Clock. Both are excellent horses but we are - like many- leaning towards Mr Stunning as we've been a big fan since his first race. There is no point betting in this - Mr Stunning is on 1.8 and Beat The Clock 2.1 - just sit back and enjoy these two top sprinters.

The Chairman's Trophy is Race 9 and here we will be able to see Hong Kong's top horse in action - Beauty Generation. Zac Purton has the ride and he's on 1.4, which means there's value in the exotics and for these we recommend Conte on 18.0 and Dinozzo on 48.0. Pakistan Star is also here but we are reluctant to nominate him until he puts in a convincing performance in a race.

Race 9 the Harlech Handicap is Class 1 and has indeed a top class field. We like Waikuku and the 2.6 favourite price is justifiable. Dark Dream is a very good horse and is on 5.1 and Tianchi Monster is improving with every start and is value on 17.0.
