Sorting out the Kentucky Derby field

Last Saturday saw a number of runners claiming the 100 points to vault to the top of the table for Kentucky Derby entries.

The Wood Memorial at Aqueduct was one such race, and it was Bill Mott's Tacitus who now sits on top of the table with 150 points. He defeated Tax and Haikai with the latter in the field as well.

The Carter over 1400m saw World of Trouble defeat Skylers Scramjet, Honor Up and Vino Rosso in the G1, and the Gazelle Gr 2 for the 3yo fillies saw Todd Pletcher's Always Shopping get the max Oaks points with Off Topic a neck away third.

At Keeneland the Gr 2 Shakertown for the sprinters saw Imprimus defeat Bound For Nowhere and Angaston third.

The girls in the Madison Gr 1 over 1400m saw Spiced Perfection win for Peter Miller from Amy's Challenge with Late Night Pow Wor third.

Out For A Spin got her Oaks points in winning the Ashland, with Restless Rider second and Jaywalk third.

The Blue Grass saw Vekoma put in a great performance and gain the 100 points to win from Win Win Win and Signalman.

At Santa Anita the Oaks went to Bellafina from Flor De La Mar and Chasing Yesterday.

The Royal Heroine on the turf went to Vasilika from Meal Ticket and Soace Talk.

The Santa Anita Derby saw Road Star win from Game Winner and Instagrand.

The Big 'Cap saw Gift Box get the better of McKinzie.
